Benefits of the Lavender & Cucumber Scalp Serum

The Kurldom's newest game changer has launched on December 25, 2020 and is already making its way to our best seller spot! The Lavender & Cucumber Scalp Serum was formulated for those who suffer from various scalp ailments such as itchiness, dryness, severe flakes, inflammation, and soreness. When we began researching ingredients, we thought about our customers, especially those who reached out to us directly for help. So this product was made based on our customers request. Each ingredient has its own unique element that when packed into a 2oz bottle, it delivers beyond expectations. This blog breaks down our top ingredients and their benefits, along with our recommendation on how to use the product.

Lavender Essential Oil:

One of our featured ingredients and the title of our first collection, lavender essential oil is known for its calming properties, but has also been known to treat common scalp issues such as control dandruff and combat itchiness.

CUCUMBER EXTRACT

Cucumbers are packed with vitamin's A, B,C, and K and all four vitamins are essential to scalp nourishment and hair growth. The cucumber extract used in our scalp serum is both vegan and organic which is important to The Kurldom's Promise to provide our customers with clean and cruelty free ingredients. Cucumber has hydrating, nourishing, and strengthening properties that restore, protect, and preserve your scalp and hair health.

BAMBOO EXTRACT

Known for its incredible strength and flexibility, bamboo is a great strengthening ingredient in our scalp serum. Strong hair starts at the root and flexibility is needed for breakage prevention. The bamboo used in our serum is 100% vegan and used for the purposes of creating manageability, softness, shine, strength, and reduce scalp irritation.

ARUGULA LEAF EXTRACT

Arugula is rich in Vitamins A and C, potassium, zinc, and magnesium which are beneficial for hair growth and retention. Placed directly on the scalp, arugula has effective soothing and anti-irritation properties and is also highly nourishing to the scalp. Who knew an edible ingredients such as arugula could be broken down to an extract and provide numerous scalp benefits?

ASHWAGHANDA ROOT

One of my favorite ingredients in our scalp serum is Ashwagandha Root. This ingredient is vegan, moisturizing and conditioning to the scalp. Ashwagandha has been used in skin products that treat sunburns, so imagine the effect it has on your scalp. It also has the ability to strengthen weak and brittle hair.

PEPPERMINT ESSENTIAL OIL

If you're looking for an ingredient that tingles and cools, peppermint essential oil is probably your best bet. However, peppermint does so much more; it also increases circulation by stimulating the scalp, improves hair growth, and reduces hair loss.

CLOVE ESSENTIAL OIL

Ever become annoyed with large white flakes and excessive dandruff? Clove essential combats both. Clove essential oil reduces itch, is anti-fungal, and soothes dry and irritated scalp. Due to it's overpowering smell, we've used clove essential oil in low concentration, but it still very beneficial in our scalp serum.

 ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL

Used for its anti-inflammatory properties, rosemary essential oil can boost follicles and encourage growth. Rosemary has also been used to treat dry and itchy scalp. If you're looking to wake up your follicles, rosemary essential oil is perfect for that. Mixed in our scalp serum with other powerful essential oils, your scalp will definitely love this product.

TAMANU OIL

Tamanu oil is one of the reason's behind our scalp serum's dark color, but it is also the reason behind our serum's effectiveness. Tamanu oils encourages hair growth and hydrates the strands. What goes on the scalp often makes it down the hair shaft so you definitely want to massage this into your scalp so it receives all of its benefits. Tamanu oil also soothes inflammation and may treat scalp fungal infections.

EVENING PRIMROSE

Evening primrose has a number of benefits that extend outside of hair, but what goes onto the hair and scalp can be absorbed into the body. Evening primrose improves overall hair and scalp health by treating dry scalp, reduce inflammation, nourishes the scalp, and protects that hair and scalp from environmental damage.

NEEM OIL

Neem oil gives our scalp serum it's dark color and is very beneficial for the scalp. Neem oil conditions your scalp, promotes healthy hair growth, reduces dandruff, treats eczema and head lice, and most importantly reduces itch.

HOW TO USE OUR LAVENDER & CUCUMBER SCALP SERUM

The Lavender & Cucumber Scalp Serum can be used a number of different ways that suit your scalp needs. Our best recommendation is to use the serum right after rinsing your deep conditioner. By doing that, your scalp will experience the effects of each ingredient, especially those that have cooling properties. Also, by applying the serum before styling, you'll be reducing the amount of irritation, inflammation, and soreness you will normally suffer from during and after styling. During the week, the scalp serum can be used during scalp massages, the inversion method, and greenhouse method. Simply section your hair into five equal parts: 2 sections in the front, 1 in the middle, and 2 sections in then back. Then apply the serum to each section and massage it in.
